This is a professional competition in which a select group of the best amateurs worldwide have been invited or qualified to participate. Ticket Ballot
A ballot for tickets to The 152nd Open at Royal Troon will continue to be held.
The Ticket Ballot application window is accessible to members of The One Club, Until 3pm BST on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Throughout August and September of 2023, fans can get the results of the Ticket Ballot in rounds.
The ballot for tickets to The 152nd available at Royal Troon in 2024 is available for four weeks, from Tuesday, June 27 until Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Members of the One Club may choose and change their ticket selections as part of the application process until the ballot closes in July 2023.
After the Ticket Ballot ends on Tuesday, July 25, the committee will analyse all submissions and notify applicants in rounds throughout August and September whether their Ticket Ballot entry was successful or not.
By the end of September, everyone who entered the ballot will know if they were partially successful, entirely successful, or failed in their ticket ballot application.
If you are offered tickets as part of the ballot process, you will not be allowed to choose which tickets to purchase; you must buy the entire allotment. As a result, only apply for tickets in the ballot that you intend to purchase.

The British Open 2024 Prize Money or Purse
Collin Morikawa won the 2021 Open Championship and collected $2,070,000 of the $11.5 million prize money. Second-place finisher Jordan Spieth received $1,198,000.
Winner Cameron Smith received $2.5 million (or 1 per cent) of the total $14 million prize pool. Cameron Young, the runner-up, was awarded $1,455,000 for his efforts.
2022 the Open prize pool worth $14 million, up $2.5 over the previous year. In 2023, the R&A started awarding prize money in dollars instead of pounds.
