Alexander Victor Schauffele is an American pro golfer who competes on the PGA Tour. Since turning pro in 2015, he has won seven titles. The European Tour proved a success for Schauffele as well. At the men’s golf competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Schauffele took home the Olympic gold medal.
In 2017, Schauffele moved up 267 ranks from his 2016 year-end ranking of 299 to 32nd in the Official World Golf Ranking. He received his peers’ “Rookie of the Year 2017” vote.
In August 2021, Schauffele posted a final-round score of 67 to win the Olympic gold medal; he defeated Slovakian Rory Sabbatini by one stroke with an up-and-down for par on the last hole.
